Who we are
TMAA Consults runs live online engineering courses and career consulting for learners in the UK and Europe. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, organisation (optional), the type of enquiry and your message. We use it to reply to you.
- Course application: your name, email address, phone number, the programme you want, your background and goals, how you heard about us, and how ready you are to commit to tuition. We use it to assess your application, plan class sizes, and send you next steps and taster-day details.
Our lawful basis
We process application and enquiry details to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in running our courses and answering the people who contact us. We do not use your details for automated decision-making, and we do not sell them.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosting and our database.
- Mailtrap: sending the emails we send to you, such as application confirmations.
These providers process data on our instructions. Some of their processing takes place outside the UK and the European Economic Area, under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for our staff-only admin area.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and application details only for as long as we need them to deal with your request, run the admissions process and meet our legal obligations, and then delete them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and, where it applies to you, EU GDPR, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise a right, email us using the address below.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
